Professional Background:

Dr. Kelly B. Legacy joined the doctor of physical therapy (DPT) program at 橙子视频app in 2016 as the director of clinical education. Before this appointment, she was an adjunct professor in the undergraduate and graduate Athletic Training Programs at PSU. Additionally, Dr. Legacy has over 15 years of experience as the founding clinical director at Choice Physical Therapy in New Hampshire. Her roles there included center coordinator of clinical education and clinical instructor for several PT, PTA, and AT programs. Before her physical therapy career, Dr. Legacy worked as a certified athletic trainer at Dartmouth College.

Clinical Expertise and Certifications:

Dr. Legacy is a board-certified physical therapist and athletic trainer. She specializes in the evaluation and treatment of orthopedic and sports injuries across. In 2022, she completed her certification as a certified nutritional physical therapist (CNPT). Additional certifications include Graston庐 Technique, Active Release Techniques庐 for upper and lower extremities and spine, Selective Functional Movement Systems庐, and The Burdenko庐 Method. 

Academic Contributions:

Dr. Legacy has presented her work at both local and national professional conferences. She is actively engaged in scholarly research focused on clinical readiness and remediation, particularly investigating strategies for the early detection of underperformance in clinical education of DPT students.

In her role as director of clinical education, Dr. Legacy is committed to integrating high-quality clinical experiences into the DPT program curriculum. She believes that such integration benefits patients, clinical partners, graduates, and the community at large, reflecting her passion for teaching and clinical care.
